Chris Stirling picked the team last season so I assumed it would be our chatterbox DoR this season.

Is Ford coach or player/coach? I thought he would be at 10? Maybe he will be in the Championship games.

Having just done a search looks like there are some names that haven't been announced (or I missed them) - does this mean a few people on trial?

Yep I spotted that - could be students.

Nice to see Lanny junior getting the 10 shirt. (Sm134)

Interested to see how the new team goes. After the summer we have had, it is just nice to see a Carnegie team being announced. Even nicer seeing them run out tomorrow

Varndell will be hoping he sees more of the ball than he did when playing against us at Lady Bay last season - on loan from Tigers.

Plus side, you have a team (no matter how it was assembled).

Minus side, some significant weaknesses there.

Good luck on friday.

Thank you & we'll have to take your word for it as I haven't heard of many of the players. (Sm124)

I think from where we have been the plus of having a team out weighs any negative. Let's hope the guys gel and get something going.

There's one thing. They won't suffer from the burden of expectation as other YC teams have. Barring the second half of last year let's not forget the absolute @#$%& show we have been watching for quite a fews seasons.

Good luck lads. Nowt to lose. Enjoy yourself and see how far we can go!

Well he saw lots of the ball as he was on the sidelines watching practically all match. I hope he gets more ball - and works to get it.

Hope he does better playing for us than when, in the past, he did playing against us.

Nice to see Dan Lancaster in the team. No doubt dad will at times be watching and hopefully offering valuable advice to our new coaching team.

Good look boys. Do yourselves proud!

Oh dear. But to be expected with a team that had never played together. No partnerships to call on.

Lots of work to do I guess.

Thank goodness Nottingham did not manage to convert all of their trys. Expected result but the size of the defeat disappoints!

Fully agree it must have been horrible but it's a start at the bottom of the trough and can only improve going forward. Keep the faith and support the team.

Random question for those who went last night.

Did they play in the training kit that's on the website, last year's playing kit, or an as yet un-revealed new playing kit?

Hello

They played in the Yorkshire Carnegie 2019/2020 Rugby Training Jersey.

It was a bright gold yellow and in the failing light stood out.

My thoughts are that there were definitely some promise shown on the pitch and all appear keen.

A few players stood out and to be honest they are definitely going to be the team to watch grow.

It was lovely seeing and hearing from Lee Imiolek and bonus yesterday through the post winged my season ticket.

Attending at Nottingham were the usual band of happy supporters. It is always great to see them and catch up after the summer.

Lastly, I personally found the Nottingham supporters as usual very friendly and not one negative comment about our recent predicament just support.

Thanks very much, and it's good to hear the positive news about the reception at Notts

Leeming, it was training kit. No one thought about kit til it was too late. Normal blue/white home and green/blackish away will resume asap. The former sooner rather than the later.

Lee is team manager - as he said to me, think of him as the new Dave Baldwin. Still doing his building site manager job full- time.
