THE WORCESTER WARRIORS PREDICTION LEAGUE (PRIZES TO ANNOUNCED SOON)
THE SCORING
Correct Result (Win, Loss, Draw) = 20pts Exact Home Score = 10pts Exact Away Score = 10pts Difference between prediction and actual score = between 1 and 10pts Exact result and scores = 5pt bonus
Ex.1: Actual 35:30, Predicted 35:30 = 45pts Ex.2: Actual 35:30, Predicted 35:12 = 30pts Ex.3: Actual 35:30, Predicted 35:20 = 31pts Ex.4: Actual 35:30, Predicted 35:25 = 35pts
Let the system sort the scores just predict away and it will do the rest. It gives everyone a chance to score points The last 5 Games/Results to be shown, alongside the League Table.

JP. Are you sure that your spreadsheet in working correctly ? I will explain..........
According to the rules, if a win is predicted correctly everyone should get at least 15pts for predicting the Win.
From what I can see you're actually managing to take points away from that when score predictions are incorrect to such an extent that instead of going from 15 points down to zero your're actually taking more points away from the 15 win points ? That's surely not correct ? I suspect it's a spreadsheet error ?
It’s working fine but thanks for raising a point which made me check.
It has two priorities the result and the closeness of the scores. If you’re way off on the scores then you will start to lose points. But, this would mean you are more than a total of 30 points adrift.
Villagers12, my apologies and thank you for bringing to my attention the clalculations of points.
You were quite correct there was an error.
If you predicted over 15 points difference of a team's score it would start to take points away however if you predicted over 15pts "less" it did not take points away.
I have now corrected that and applied to the predictions. Luckily it affected very few of the scores but enough to move a few people around.
The latest prediction League has been published above
Hi FC
'm pretty certain I submitted a prediction for the Chinnor game and have definitely submitted one for Ealing, both using the Jotform link but there is nothing showing in the league table for either. i.e. no tick in the boxes for the latter.
Any idea what's going wrong.

We have had a couple of requests now for checking receipt of submissions, which on investigation turned out to be possible "Senior Moments"
With such a busy world it is so easy to forget or think you have done something but have not.
I set the grey cells thinking how it can be adopted into the system
One though was to use the scoring system used in F1 a few years back where only your best scores counted as everyone can have a bad day. For instance only 18 race results counted out of 20 races.
We could adopt this as below
There are 26 games in a season but only your top 23 results count to the title.
Giving everyone the opportunity to remove their 3 worst results .
Removing 3 missed predictions
It will need us to debate and then decide what the majority(90%) would like. I can setup a survey and vote to get the info.
Although one of those who missed a prediction, I'm happy if you leave it as it is. I notice that on entering my prediction this morning jotform still shows Ampthill V Worcester match, maybe I entered the missing prediction against the wrong match.
Just created for your knowledge a page showing the full season (ALL Games) displaying the league points each person has gained for each game and also displaying how many top points players have achieved(in Purple)
Available below and on the Mystic Meg Crystall ball image above.
