Warriors Snatch Dramatic Late Win

Worcester Warriors produced another dramatic comeback at Sixways as a last-minute try from Ashley Challenger sealed a 24–22 victory over Nottingham in a pulsating Championship encounter.
The Warriors burst out of the blocks with early intensity, and it took just minutes for captain Matt Kvesic to make his presence felt. A clever break from the back-rower opened space for scrum-half Lloyd Williams, who darted under the posts for the opening score, duly converted to give Worcester a 7–0 lead.
Nottingham, however, refused to be unsettled by the early setback. Building patiently, they worked their way into the contest, and before the interval Michael Green crossed after strong link-up play from James Cherry. Gwyn Parks added the extras, sending the sides into the break level at 7–7.
The visitors emerged invigorated after half-time. Cherry, who had been threatening throughout, powered over twice in quick succession to stun the home crowd and establish a 19–7 advantage. Parks converted the second of the two tries, and Nottingham suddenly looked in full control.
But Worcester have made late drama something of a trademark this season, and once again they summoned a spirited fightback.
Wing Tom Seabrook ignited the turnaround with a well-taken finish after chasing down a loose ball. Moments later, sustained pressure inside the Nottingham 22 allowed Seabrook to strike again from close range, with fly-half Will Reed narrowing the deficit further from the tee. At 19–17, the match had swung sharply back into the balance.
Nottingham briefly steadied themselves through a Parks penalty, but the final ten minutes belonged entirely to Worcester. Wave after wave of attacks pinned the visitors deep inside their own half, their defence creaking under the relentless assault.

Finally, with the clock in the red, the Warriors’ forwards delivered the decisive blow. From a series of bruising phases on the Nottingham line, prop Ashley Challenger crashed over, sparking jubilation around Sixways. Reed’s conversion was academic; the win already belonged to Worcester.
The result marks the Warriors’ second consecutive match decided by a last-gasp score, underlining both their resilience and their growing confidence under pressure. For Nottingham, it will be a painful reminder of a match that was firmly within their grasp.
Worcester march on with momentum, while Nottingham are left to reflect on what might have been.

Many times on Saturday saw a Nottingham player in possession of the ball with 3 0r 4 Warriors standing off waiting for "HIM" to make the decision instead hitting him hard. I know there maybe a concern of biting in but this was almost as if the guys were playing on the training ground.
Our attack is not giving a chance for either center as they are taking man and ball every time, all they can do is ship it sideways. Consequently the centres cant create the half gaps and get good ball to our very dangerous but under used wingers.
