Pontypridd take on Connacht in Ireland this weekend hoping to pick up their fifth win in succession and guarantee them a place in the quarter finals of the Celtic League.
Match Preview: Connacht
This coming Saturday, Pontypridd travel to Ireland to face Connacht, the only team in the Celtic league to have a 100% record. So far this season Lenister, Newport, Cardiff, Bridgend and Scottish Borders have failed to beat them however, Pontypridd will be hoping to change that poor record.
Ponty will be lifted by the news that there is only one injury doubt for the trip, that being Richard Parks who has still not fully recovered from an injury in training. Lynn Howells has yet again decided not to name his team but it is expected that Mefin Davies will return. Connacht have made seven changes to their team that beat Bridgend 24-23 at the Brewery Field last weekend so Ponty will be looking to take advantage.
This weekend will be the first time that the two teams have met in any competition and hopefully Ponty will come away with a win from what promises to be a highly entertaining encounter. Should Pontypridd win, they will guarantee further participation in the knockout stages of the Celtic League and will move up to second place in the Celtic league.
