Celtic Warriors 29 - 22 Leinster Lions

Gareth Wyatt showed a piece of brilliance to snatch a deserved victory for the Warriors after referee Iain Rammage nearly did some serious damage to the Warriors hopes of taking the 4 points. The first half was filled with numerous errors from both teams but Leinster scrum half Brain O Meara had his kicking boots on as referee Rammage gave penalty after penalty to the vistors. Four penalties for O Meara was matched by three for Jenkins as the visitors went in at half time leading by 12 - 9.

In the second half Gareth Wyatt pulled the warriors back with a superb drop goal but a further penalty and a converted try put Leinster back in the lead. Good work from the pack then allowed replacement hooker Mefin Davies to cross for a deserved Warriors try which Jenkins converted before adding another penalty which tied the scores at 22 - 22 with minutes to play.

As the match descended deep into stoppage time Gareth Wyatt received the ball in his own half, sold a dummy to the covering player before sprinted into the opposition 22. A neat kick over the full backs head then allowed Wyatt to race after the ball and re-gather to score the match wining try. Jenkins added a conversion to leave the final score 29 - 22 in favour of the Warriors and gave them a further four points to add to the five they picked up last weekend.
