In this section of the site, you can see profiles of the Cardiff Blues squad members. It includes, information and photos on the players and coaches at the Arms Park.

Gethin signed for the Blues following the demise of the Celtic Warriors. Despite having offers from Wales, England and France, the 25 year old opted for the Capital region and Cardiff fans couldn't be happier.

Having started every game in the Grand Slam, he was of course chosen to tour with the British and Irish Lions. He was one of very few players to start all 3 test matches.

Unfortunately, he suffered an injury after the Lions tour, and missed the opening of the 05/06 season with his region. Undoubtably the best prop in Britain, many believe Gethin to be the best in his position in the world.

At 6ft 2 and 18.5 stone, he is surprsingly fit. He is the fastest 15,000 metre runner in the Blues squad, and though his acceleration isn't that of Rhys Williams, his long-distance running is comparable to Wales' top backs.

Born and raised in Ponty, making the move to cardiff was difficult, but he's not settled and recntly signed a new 3 year deal, taking him to the end of the 08/09 season!
