Magners, Long Time Over Due.

Why is it that Magners has suddenly become the new drink of posers in pubs all over Britain? The Celtic League and “cool” are two words unlikely to be found in the same sentence, but the tournament could for once have found a bit of credence.

Magners have taken it upon themselves to try and spark a bit of life into the identity stricken competition, so now instead of Celtic, think Magners League, in a similar ilk to that of Guinness with the English Premiership.

However I have serious doubts whether or not Celtic rugby is established enough to simply discard its original moniker to the general rugby public.

Blatantly it’s about promotion, but one I suspect that the sponsor is likely to be the promoter opposed to the promoted.

The only change to the fixture structure is the spreading out of matches during the Autumn Internationals.
