BREAKING NEWS: Dragons chief excecutive Andy Marinos has denied that a deal to appoint Chris Anderson was nearly complete, rejecting claims that the Australian league coach is close to taking over at Rodney Parade.
Marinos confirmed Anderson had been in Gwent for talks, but insisted he was still only one of several candidates, and he was still "continuing the interview process."
With pre-season training resuming next Monday, the Dragons are yet to appoint successor to Mike Ruddock, discounting Declan Kidneys brief stay at the regions helm.
"We are no closer to completing a deal to sign anyone," said Marinos.
