McBryde Nears Return

Wales hooker Robin McBryde is inline to make his first start of the season, by turning out for Premiership club Carmarthern Quins on Saturday.

The 33 year old has missed the opening three months of the season with a neck injury, and looks set to be in contention for a full regional return in a weeks' time, should he make it through the Quins' Premiership tie with Ebbw Vale.

"I've come through everything in training without a reaction so the next step in my rehabilitation is a game. I will be glad when I get it under my belt. It has been hard work watching from the stands. All I can do is make myself available for selection, it's then up to the coaches," he said.
