Bob Norster unsurprisingly denounced any thought of Cardiff Blues playing at Sardis Road in the future, or more precisely away from the Arms Park.

No happy returns for Blues

"There are a multitude of logistical problems in bringing games to this ground well appreciated by the Pontypridd directors and I hope many, or some, of the fans at least.

"The question of corporate hospitality and box holders at the Arms Park, let alone ground advertising and contractual obligations make it a real challenge and a real cost exercise before you even start to look at the number of seats in the stadium.

"We have got more season ticket holders with seats in Cardiff than there are seats here, which would mean you would have to put in temporary seating.

In other words they can't really be that bothered. Norster clearly hasn't got his head around the concept of "all ticket matches", nor has he realised the sheer significance of playing the odd match up at Sardis, at least untill it is knocked down in a season or two.

It would be the perfect marketing exercise to promote the Blues' brand further than just inside the capital, and prove they are more inclusive to the entire region and not just exclusive to say four or five thousand season ticket holders.

Why not say Leinster on a Friday night? it's not as if the Celtic League has it's turnstiles bursting at the seems.
