14. K Morgan (4) – Not really a winger, I’d expect Wales to use Alfie in midfield for the rest of the Ais but he might be dropped if Lee Byrne does the business against Fiji.

13. Taylor (4) – A great Welsh servant who is not up to this any more, tackled alright but never going to pose the NZ defence any problems.

12. Sweeney (5.5) – Really tackled well and may have been able to do better if he’d had more ball, we do need a player of his like at 12 and with Henson still out we are going to have to work with him.

11. S Williams (4) – His opposite number scored a hat trick, and now the opposition know what to expect from him he needs to add a few more strings to the bow and up his work rate.

10. S Jones (6) – Dealt with a variety of bad ball and will not be thanking Phillips and Cooper for some of that service, did OK under the circumstances.

9. M Phillips (4) – With the Welsh scrum under pressure you’d want your 9 to speed up his distribution, his first big start for Wales and its one he’ll want to forget.

8. Owen (5) – The VC was the pick of the back row, considering this subdued performance what does that say?

7. Charvis (4) – We expected him to be superior to his opposite number, put in some big runs and he looked slow and old, Martyn Williams please.

6. J Thomas (4) - Jekyll and Hyde player, goes from MotM to anonymous, I’ve no idea why.

5. Sid (4) – Toothless performance from the big lock and the line out wasn’t great and he’s the man that calls it.

4. Cockbain (6) – Threw his weight around and ensured the Welsh pack wasn’t bullied, some moments of indiscipline could yet see him cited though.

3. A Jones (3) – The Welsh scrum was in disarray until Mr Horsman came on, the fact in was a debutant loosehead says a lot about the quality of Adam Jones performance, if Horsman ruins the Fiji scrum then this hair bear could be out of an international jersey for some time.

2. M Davies (4) – Welsh front row took a pounding and the lineout was awful, we don’t really have any other option though? We'll see how young Rhys Thomas gets on.

1. D Jones (4) – Hayman had the better of him and was hit backwards in the tackle, tried hard though.

Horsman – Came on and steadied the ship up front.

Lee Byrne – 1^st cap for the form player great quote after he was dumped by Jerry Collins - "But I think Jerry Collins giving me a welcome to international rugby might be the moment I remember - and him telling me to step next time while I was on the floor!"

The build up to the game was massive and the spectacle of the sides facing each other before the game as they did 100years ago meant the game kicked off with the action at fever pitch.

From that point on it was all New Zealand as the best side in the world put a ragged Wales to the sword, it will take some performance to stop them.

From a Wales perspective we were a mess and at half time I couldn’t believe we were only 13-3 down, it was just a big let down.

We now need to regroup and put a performance in against Fiji on Friday and prepare for another 2 massive tests, there is still a lot to play for in this Autumn series.
