Wales Grand Slam Captain Gareth "Alfie" Thomas has suffered another injury scare ahead of Wales 6 Nations Defence. For details read on
Wales suffered another injury scare tonight when skipper Gareth Thomas was taken to hospital following the match between his club Toulouse and Pau.
According to L'equipe, Thomas replaced Poitrenaud for the second half, but five minutes from the end of the match he was tackled heavily,he later complained of feeling unwell with a sore jaw and as a precaution he was taken to hospital.
But after a scan on his jaw no damage was reported and he was expected to return to Toulouse this evening.
Thomas is due to lead Wales in their defence of their Six Nations Championship against England at Twickenham next Saturday.
Zippy Reaction:
I can't believe Toulouse even considered playing him after he has been suffering with injury after injury but thats the way in France, you're expected to flog yourself to death but you get the monetary rewards.
I hope he's fit to train this week with Wales and more importantly to lead them out next weekend, if there is one person everyone in Wales wants to play, its him.
