Bedford Blues made it win number three with this victory over Exeter Chiefs although for the first time this season they failed to get a four try bonus point.

Their on loan England winger Tom Varndell got the games opening score after just three minutes and  5-0 lead. The lead lasted just six minutes with scrum half Kevin Barrett going in for a try and Tony Yapp converted. It took the Blues till the 34^th minute to regain the lead with a try from flanker Nic Strauss and this time James Pritchard converted to lead 12-7 at the break.

It took them just three minutes to get try number three as hooker Chris Johnson went over the Chefs line and Pritchard again converted before adding a 49^th minute penalty goal to make it 22-7. Gary Kingdom took over the kicking and managed to pull three points back for the Chiefs but that was the end of the scoring at the home side took the win.   

London Welsh 8 (Try: Hayward (40). Pen: Ulph (32).  

Doncaster 29 (Tries: Davies (27), Penalty try (60), Forster (74), Wilson (80). Cons: Woodrow 3. Pen: Woodrow (44).

Doncaster maintained their excellent start to the season with a fourth win of the season as they beat London Welsh 29-8 at Old Deer Park.

It took 27 minutes for the first score as visitor’s wing Wes Davies went in for an unconverted try. The Welsh responded with a penalty goal from Sam Ulph on his return to the starting line up after injury. Four minutes into added on time and the Welsh took the lead with a try from Duncan Hayward on as a replacement for the injured Rob Jewell and the home side went in 8-5 ahead.

Doncaster were level four minutes into the second half when Mark Woodrow put over a penalty goal. They had to wait till the hour mark to go ahead again with a penalty try converted by Woodrow for a 15-8 lead. 

They went further ahead in the 74^th minute when flanker Jason Forster went in for his 8^th try of the season and again Woodrow converted. They rounded off the win in injury time when No 8 Glen Wilson touched down and the four try bonus point was secured.  

Moseley 30 (Tries: Knight (5), Caves (36), Hall (80). Cons: Thomas 3. Pens: Thomas 3 (27, 44, 49)  

Pertemps Bees 35 (Tries: Goodridge 2 (22, 53), Davies 2 (41, 51). Cons: Higgins 3. Pens: Higgins 3 (4, 14, 45).

The Bees were winners at Moseley for their third win of the season whilst the home side slip to their fourth defeat of the season. Jon Higgins put the visitors ahead with a 4^th minute penalty goal.

A minute later the home side were ahead with scrum half Paul Knight touching down and Ollie Thomas converted. Higgins pulled three points back with a second penalty goal and on 22 minutes the Bees were in front when full back Jonathan Goodridge went over for a try and Higgins converted to make it 13-6. By half time though the home side were ahead after Thomas kicked a penalty goal and then converted a try from hooker Adam Caves and Thomas converted.

In the first minute of the second half the Bees we back in front with replacement centre Tristan Davies touching down and Higgins converted.

Thomas with two and Higgins with one exchanged penalty goals and after 49 minutes the sides were locked at 23 all.

Soon after the Bees got two tries in tow minutes as Goodridge and Davies completed double and with Higgins converting one of them they led 35-23 and had the four try bonus point in the bag.

The home side did manage to close the gap to claim the losing bonus point as replacement hooker Chris Hall went over for a try and Thomas converted.  

Plymouth Albion 27 (Tries: Fisilau (10), Rice (17), Sestaret (22). Cons: Neethling 3. Pens: Neethling 2 ((14, 33).  

Coventry 19 (Try: Geraghty (49). Con: Russell. Pens: Russell 4 (4, 19, 52, 57).

Plymouth Albion remain top of the table after this home win over Coventry which saw them make it five wins out of five. Ben Russell put Coventry ahead with a 4^th minute penalty goal. The lead lasted just six minutes before centre Keni Fisilau went in for a try and Wihan Neethling converted. Four minutes later Neethling extended the Albion lead with a penalty goal and when he converted a try from prop Martin Rice the home side were 17-3 ahead after 17 minutes.

Russell pulled three points back with a second penalty goal but Albion went further ahead on 22 minutes when wing Nicholas Sestaret went in for his 4^th try of the season and went in at half time 27-6 ahead.

In the second half all the scoring came from Coventry as centre Kieran Geraghty went in for a 49^th minute try which Russell converted. He added two more penalties before the hour mark to make it 27-19 going into the final quarter. That though was the end of the scoring as Coventry went down to their second defeat of the season.

Earth Titans 66 (Tries: Tuohy 3 (32, 40, 41), Pen try (12), Bedford (19), Hennessy (25), Whitehead (73), Buchanan (79), Blackwood (80), McCormish (80). Cons: Steenson 6, Whitehead, Burke. .  

Waterloo 17 (Tries: Handley (23), Murchie (36). Cons: Nutt 2. Pen: Nutt (28). 

The Titans make it four wins out of five with this comprehensive win over Waterloo who slip to a fourth defeat of the season.

Right wing Brian Tuohy led the way with a hat trick of tries in a 12 minutes spell either side of half time. In all they ran in 10 tries and were 35-17 ahead at the break.

They finished strongly with three tries in injury time at the end of the match. 

Sedgley Park 20 (Tries: Jones (20), D e Jager (30). Cons: Jones 2. Pens: Jones 2 (14, 38).  

Otley 43 (Tries: Parson 2 (53, 78), Hyde (57), Maifea (74). Cons: Binns 4. Pens: Binns 5 (6, 9, 16, 40, 68).

A big game for both sides at Park Lane but is visitors Otley who left with the points but at half time Park seemed to be in control at 20-8.

Simon Binns gave the visitors a 6-0 lead before Phil Jones got the home side off the mark with a penalty goal for Park, Binns added a third penalty goal but after that the home side took over the scoring.

There were tries for Arno De Jager and Jones both were converted by Jones and when he put over a 38^th minute penalty goal they led 20-9. Binns pulled three points back for the visitors before the half time whistle.  

It took Otley 13 minutes to break down the home defence and right wing Steve Parsons got the first try and Binns converted. Forwards Dan Hyde and Maifea Maifea went in for tries and Binns converted them both and put over a fifth penalty goal to make it 36-20 after 74 minutes.

Otley sealed the win four minutes later when Parson completed a double and Binns again converted as he finished with a 21 point haul.

Nottingham 30 (Tries: Jackson (13), Raven (70), Hopkins (80). Cons: Barlow 3. Pens: Barlow 3 ((4, 27, 48).   

Leeds Tykes 37 (Tries: T Rock 2 (15, 79), Dunbar 2 (22, 46), Lock (55). Cons: Hinton 3. Cons: Hinton 2 (Pens: Hinton 2 (37, 40).

Leeds Tykes take all five points on offer for the first time this season with this excellent away win at Nottingham. 

The home side were 10-0 ahead after Barlow put over an early penalty goal and then converted a try from left wing David Jackson.

Leeds responded with a try from left wing Tom Rock and took the lead on 22 minutes when flanker John Dunbar and this time Leigh Hinton converted to make it 12-10.

Barlow put the home side back in front with a penalty goal but two by Hinton late in the half saw the Tykes go in 18-13.

Early in the second half Dunbar got his second try to make it 23-13. Barlow kicked another penalty goal but in the 55^th minute flanker Mark Lock got over the home line for the bonus point try and a 30-16 lead with Hinton converting.

On 70 minutes Nottingham went in for their second try of the match with replacement Sam Raven touching down and Barlow converted as they got within seven of the visitors.

On 80 minutes Nottingham seemed to have lost the losing bonus point as Leeds got a fifth try as Tom Rock completed a double and Hinton converted.

Deep into injury time the home side managed another try as prop Ryan Hopkins went over and Barlow converted to get the bonus point.

Cornish Pirates 34 (Tries: Cattle (17), Ma’asi (25), Penalty try (34), McAtee (65), McKeen (79). Cons: Di Bernardo 3. Pen: Di Bernardo (2).   

Newbury 13 (Try: Ireland (72). Con: Walsh. Pen: Walsh (47). DG: Walsh (15). 

The Pirates are seventh after this win as they picked up their third four try bonus point of the season and send Newbury to their fourth defeat of the season. 

Alberto Di Bernardo put the home side ahead with a 2^nd minute penalty goal which was cancelled out when Tim Walsh dropped a goal on 15 minutes.

Just two minutes later captain and scrum half Gavin Cattle went in for the games opening try and Di Bernardo converted for 10-3. Two more tries before half time from hooker Vili Ma’asi and a penalty try both were converted by Di Bernardo as they took a 24-3 lead into the break.

Walsh pulled three points back after the break but a fourth try for the home side by winger Rhodri McAtee, his 4^th of the season, saw the bonus secured. Both tries scored tries in the final 10 minutes at the Pirates took all five points on offer.
