Excellent away win for Plymouth Albion over the Cornish Pirates in front of a bumper 5,365 crowd. 

Albion were ahead after four minutes when Regardt Van Eyk put over a penalty goal and it stayed that way till the 37^th minute when he made it 6-0 with a second penalty goal. On 40 minutes winger Nicholas Sestaret went over for his 14^th try of the season and Van Eyk converted and then in injury time he got a second trey and again Van Eyk converted to send the visitors in 20-0 ahead.

Alberto Di Bernardo put over a couple of penalty goals in the opening 13 minutes of the second half to get the home side on the board but Van Eyk put over a third for Albion to make it 23-6 after 57 minutes.

On 69 minutes the Pirates were within ten points of the visitors after winger Lewis Vinnicombe went over for a try and Di Bernardo converted.   

But it was Albion who got the final score with Van Eyk putting over a 4^th penalty goal of the afternoon to seal the win.

Doncaster 15 (Tries: Gollings (4), Forster (72). Con: Woodrow. Pen: Woodrow (44).   

Earth Titans 9 (Pens: Steenson 3 (50, 57, 65).     

Huge win for Doncaster at home to Earth Titans to remain in second spot in the table whilst the Titans find themselves eight points behind the leaders now.

New signing Ben Gollings got the opening try of the match for Doncaster after four minutes with the winger touching down and Mark Woodrow slotting over the conversion for a 7-0 lead in what turned out to be the only score of the half.   

Four minutes into the second half and Woodrow made it 10-0 with a penalty goal. Gareth Steenson them kicked the Titans right back into the match with three penalties on 50, 57 and 65 minutes.

The home side got some breathing space with flanker Jason Forster went over for his 17^th try of the season and sealed the win.

Sedgley Park 37 (Tries: Halsall (33), J Albinson (58), Briers (61), Skurr (80). Cons: Jones 4. Pens: Jones 3 (9, 22, 56).  

Waterloo 18 (Tries: Payne (52), Erskine (73). Con: Munro. Pens: Munro 2 (16, 30).     

Comfortable win for Sedgley Park over struggling Waterloo and Park are now nine points clear of the relegation zone. 

The first half hour saw Park’ Phil Jones and Waterloo’s Anders Monro kicking a couple of penalty goals each before the home prop Martin Halsall going over for the games first try, Jones converted and the home side went in 13-6 ahead at the break.

12 minutes into the second half Waterloo were level again with a try from captain and centre Freeman Payne and Monro converted.  

Park edged ahead with a third Jones penalty goal and two tries in two minutes changed the game as the home side opened up a 17 point lead. The tries came form scrum half Jamie Albinson and centre Chris Briers and Jones converted. Waterloo scrum half got a try for the visitors but Park had the last word with No 8 Jon Skurr getting the fourth try in injury time and they took all five points on offer.

Leeds Tykes 30 (Tries: Hughes (16), Rock (42), Vasey (65), Tuilagi (79). Cons: Vasey 2. Pens: Vasey 2 (35, 53).   

Otley 8 (Try: Shuttleworth (72). Pen: Brown (2).     

Leeds were made to work hard for all five points on offer by Otley in this Yorkshire derby in front of their biggest crowd of the season, 5,310.

It was Otley who took the lead when Andy Brown put over a 2^nd minute penalty goal.

The lead lasted 14 minutes before the Tykes got their opening score as winger Chris Hughes touched down for 5-3. Richard Vasey made it 8-3 late in the half and at half time it was all to play for.

Two minutes into the second half and the home side got a second try with centre Tom Rock going in for his 11^th try of the season and Vasey converted for 15-3. Vasey put over a penalty goal and then scored the third try on 65 minutes to make it 23-3.

Otley did manage to cross the home line when fly half Ian Shuttleworth touched down on 72 minutes. But the Tykes for the all important fourth try on 79 minutes when centre Andy Tuilagi touched down on 79 minutes.  

Exeter Chiefs 25 (Tries: Luff 2 (21, 78), M Fatialofa (49). Cons: Yapp 2. Pens: Yapp 2 (55, 70).  

Newbury 11 (Try: DamuDamu (51).     

Home win for the Chiefs in front of an excellent crowd of 3,782 at Sandy Park.

It was Newbury who took the lead when Tim Walsh put over an 8^th minute penalty goal. The lead lasted till the 21^st minute when winger Jason Luff continued his excellent recent form with his 9^th try of the season and Tony Yapp converted for 7-3.  Before the break Walsh pulled three points back for Newbury to make it 7-6 at half time.

Nine minutes into the second half and The Chiefs were 14-6 ahead after centre Mark Fatialofa went over and Yapp again converted.   

Newbury were right back in it two minutes later when flanker Isoa DamuDamu went over for an unconverted try and they trailed 14-11.

Yapp put over penalty goals in the 55^th and 70^th minutes to extend the home lead to 20-11.

It was the in form Luff who sealed the win when he completed a double on 78 minutes with his 10^th try of the season.

Nottingham 42 (Tries: Logan (13), Thompson (21), Barlow (30), Duffy (50), Nirmalendran (66), Wilks (77). Cons: Barlow 4, Stenhouse 2.)  

Moseley 7 (Try: Thomas (56). Con: Thomas.).     

Comfortable home win for Nottingham over struggling Moseley at Meadow Lane on Christmas Eve.

Three tries in the opening half hour saw the home side go 21-0 ahead as wingers Will Logan and Ben Thompson and fly half Tom Barlow went over for tries and Barlow converted all three of them.  Hooker Joe Duffy got the four try bonus point try on 50 minutes and Barlow was again on target with the conversion for 38-0. Moseley did then manage to cross the home line with full back Ollie Thomas touching down and adding the conversion.  

Nottingham ran in two more tries in the final quarter for a convincing win in front of their best crowd of the season 1,425.

Bedford Blues 35 (Tries: Allen (39), Broadfoot (64), Pienaar (79), Strauss (80). Cons: Pritchard 3. Pens: Pritchard 3.  

London Welsh 15 (Tries: Sampson (30), Storey (340. Con: Marks. DG: Marks (42).      

After a tight first half the Blues eventually pulled away late onto secure the win and all five bonus points on offer. 

The home side were in front on 11 minutes when full back James Pritchard put over a penalty goal for a 3-0 lead. The next score did not come till the half hour mark when the visitors took the lead with a try from former England International right winger Paul Sampson and with centre James Storey going over for minutes later and Jon Marks converting they led 12-3.

The Blues did manage a try just before the break when centre Matt Allen touched down and Pritchard converted to trail by two at half time.

Two minutes into the second half and the visitors went five points clear with Marks dropping a goal.

Two Pritchard penalty goals saw the home side go into a 16-15 lead after 57 minutes. 

Just after the hour mark they opened up an eight point lead with fly half Ross Broadfoot touching down and Pritchard converting.  

Two late tries including one deep into injury time saw the home side pick up a four try bonus point as the back row pair of Nic Strauss and Ben Pienaar touched down.

Pertemps Bees 22 (Tries: Goodridge (4), Tuohy (19), Nuthall (37), Qera (54). Con: Higgins.)   

Coventry 16 (Try: K Johnson. Con: Russell. Pens; Russell 3 (8, 28, 34)

Rare home win this season for the Bees as they beat Coventry at Sharmans Cross Road taking all five points.

The Bees were in front in the 4^th minute when Full back Jonathan Goodridge scored his 8^th try of the season for a 5-0 lead.

Full back Ben Russell got the visitors off the mark with an 8^th minute penalty goal. The home side scored a second try with second row Daniel Tuohy going over but again it went unconverted. Russell kicked Coventry to within a point with penalty goals in the 28^th and 34^th minutes. Just before the break the home side got a third try as left wing Matthew Nutthall went over and again it went unconverted but they went in 15-9 ahead.

14 minutes into the second half and they had the four try bonus point secured with flanker Akapusi Qera touching down for his 9^th try of the season and this time Jon Higgins added the extras.

Coventry did manage the final try of the match as winger Kurt Johnson went over and Higgins converted deep into injury time to secure the visitors a losing bonus point.
