Consortium invited to meet RFU

It may be that the decision that all of Rugby is waiting for; particularly Rotherham fans could be delayed. Rugby Football Union officials want to meet members of the consortium before making a final decision. The brief press release follows. Representatives from the consortium working to save Rotherham Titans have been invited to visit Twickenham to meet RFU officials considering a proposed business plan to take the club forward.

The group had expected to be given a decision tomorrow after submitting the plan and a detailed budget before yesterday's 5pm deadline.

The group will meet RFU officials at 4pm tomorrow and any decision may well be delayed until later in the week.
