Coventry 30 (Tries: Millard, Tiueti, Moore. Cons: Moore 3. Pens: Moore 3.). 

Pertemps Bees 29 (Tries: Takarangi 2, D Knight, Olver. Cons: Harvey 3. Pen: Harvey.). 

The Bees were ahead at the break leading Coventry 22-14 after falling behind to a second minute try from centre Dave Tiueti converted by James Moore. The Bees responded with a Ben Harvey penalty goal and then Harvey converted a 16th minute try from winger Aaron Takarangi to go 10-7 ahead. Coventry regained the lead when winger David Millard went over and Moore converted for 14-10.

The Bees though scored two more tries before the break as Takarangi completed his double and full back Dave Knight touched down and Harvey added a conversion for 22-14.

Moore kicked three penalties in the third quarter to give the home side a 23-22 lead at 58 minutes. Moore got the next score as well as he went over for a 69th minute try which he converted for a 30-22 lead.

The Bees did score a late try to get two bonus points as prop Adrian Olver went over the Coventry line and Harvey converted.

Exeter Chiefs 29 (Tries: Ward, M Fatialofa. Cons: Yapp 2. Pens: Yapp 5.). 

Earth Titans 23 (Tries: WP Strauss, Bedford, Golding. Con: Whitehead. Pens: Whitehead 2.). 

The Chiefs improved form continued with this home win over Earth Titans after pulling back a 16-6 half time deficit. Tony Yapp kicked a couple of first half penalty goals for the home side but for the Titans there were tries for prop John Golding and scrum half Joe Bedford whilst Mike Whitehead out over a couple of penalty goals.

In the second half Yapp kicked two early penalty goals before full back Stephen Ward went over for a try Yapp converted and they led 19-16.

Just after the hour mark they went further ahead when centre Mark Fatialofa went in and Yapp again converted for 26-16. The Titans responded quickly with centre WP Strauss going in for a try and Whitehead converted to get them within three. Yapp sealed the win for the Chiefs with a 69th minute penalty goal which was the final score of the match.    

London Welsh 30 (Tries: Cadwallader, Ritchie, Bennett, Fitzgerald. Cons: Pugh 2. Pens: Pugh 2.). 

Nottingham 21 (Tries: Jackson, P Cook, Soden. Pens: Stenhouse 2.). 

The Welsh picked up a much needed win in the quest to climb the table and escape the relegation zone with this home success over Nottingham.

Prop Peter Cook gave the visitors a 5-0 lead in the 6th minute and they kept that lead till the 20th minute. The Welsh then went over with back row man Alex Bennett going in to level it at 5 all.

No 8 Mark Soden got the second Nottingham try four minutes later as they regained the lead 10-5. Dylan Pugh pulled three points back for the Welsh but two Neil Stenhouse penalty goals saw the home side go 16-8 ahead. In first half injury time though the Welsh got a second try with hooker Chris Ritchie scoring and they trailed 16-13.

In the second half the Welsh were ahead in the opening minute with a try from No 8 Matt Fitzgerald and with Pugh converting they were 20-16 ahead. The lead only lasted three minutes with Nottingham right wing David Jackson scoring and the visitors were 21-20 ahead. The scoring continued at a pace with left wing Alex Cadwallader touching down for the home side five minutes later and the Pugh conversion made it 27-21. Pugh had the final say with a late penalty goal to give the home side some breathing space and deny Nottingham a bonus point.  

Newbury 27 (Tries: Bingham, Cracknell, Cooper. Cons: Feeney 3. Pens: Feeney 2.). 

Plymouth Albion 18 (Tries: Sestaret, Arscott. Con: Saumi. Pens: Saumi 2.). 

Excellent home win for out of form Newbury over Plymouth Albion.

It was the visitors who scored first when French wing Nicholas Sestaret went over for a 13th minute try, his 9th of the season, and a 5-0 lead. Nat Saumi made it 8-0 with a penalty on 20 minutes before the home side got off the mark with a Blair Feeney penalty goal on 24 minutes.

Newbury were ahead on 32 minutes after a try from winger Kenneth Bingham and Feeney converted for 10-8. Albion took the lead though on 37 minutes with Saumi kicking a second penalty goal.

They also got the opening score of the second half with full back Luke Arscott going in and Saumi concerting for an 18-10 lead.

Feeney pulled three points back for the home side on the hour but then the game turned with Albion losing two players to the sin bin and Newbury took advantage.

They score two tries as first flanker Chris Cracknell went over, for his 9th try of the season, and then replacement hooker Glen Cooper, Feeney converted both and Newbury were 27-18 ahead and took the much need win.

Sedgley Park 7 (Try: Albinson. Con: Jones.). 

Otley 19 (Tries: Sovatabua, Stockdale, Brown. Cons: Kitching 2.). 

Away win for Otley over bottom of the table Sedgley Park who would have seen this fixture as one they should be winning if they are to avoid finishing in the bottom two.

Wing Waisale Sovatabua gave Otley the lead in the 14th minute with a try which Robin Kitching converted for 7-0. The home side were level just before the half hour mark with scrum half Jamie Albinson touching down and Phil Jones adding the extras and that was the final score of the half as they went in at 7 all.

16 minutes into the second half and Otley were ahead again when flanker Matt Stockdale went in for a try and Kitching added the extras for 14-7. They scored their third and final try just after the hour mark when replacement scrum half Andy Brown went in for an unconverted try.

Cornish Pirates 26 (Tries: K James, Senekal, McAtee. Cons: Jarvis. Pens: Jarvis 3.). 

Bedford Blues 21 (Tries: Allen 2, Tonga’uiha. Cons: Hepher 2, Luke.). 

The Cornish Pirates returned to winning ways at Kenwyn Hill with this important win over Bedford Blues to narrow the gap on the second placed side.  

Bedford was first on the score sheet with a try from centre Matt Allen early on and Ali Hepher converted. The home side responded soon after with centre Kevin James going in and Lee Jarvis converting. They went ahead on 25 minutes when second row Heino Senekal went over and although Jarvis missed the conversion he did kick a penalty a few minutes later. Just before the break though the Blues were right back in it when prop Soane Tonga’uiha, destined for Northampton next season, went over and Hepher converted to trail by a point at the break.

In the second half left wing Rhodri McAtee went over five minutes into the half for a 20-14 lead. Jarvis added penalty goals on 53 and 61 minutes to see them go into a 26-14 lead.

Bedford Blues did manage another score with Allen completing a double and a bonus point was secured.

Doncaster 0 (). 

NEC Harlequins 45 (Tries: Williams, Jarvis, Evans, Monye, Guest, Keogh. Cons: Jarvis 5, Greenwood. Pen: Jarvis.). 

Comfortable six try win for NEC Harlequins at Doncaster who extend their lead at the top of the National One league table with Bedford Losing at the Cornish Pirates.

They scored four tries in the first half to lead 31-0 with Adrian Jarvis converting all four of them after kicking an early penalty goal and secured the four try bonus point.

They added two more in the second half with wing Simon Keogh going in for his 12th try of the season to go joint top of the try scorers. Jarvis converted one of the tries and finished with 18 points whilst Will Greenwood converted the final try.
