Captain Ed out for 6 week

Pertemps Bees leader and second row forward will miss the opening six weeks of the upcoming National League One season.

Ed injured his knee during the friendly at Newcastle, the superstitious amongst us might say that Kingston Park is not a lucky ground for him, and has had keyhole surgery at Solihull hospital on Wednesday.

It is understood to be a cartilage problem.
