Former Wales Under-21 lock Alex Davidson could make a surprise return to action in the National League One game against Penzance & Newlyn at the Mennaye Field on Sunday January 9 (2.30pm).
Davidson has not played since he damaged a shoulder in the Powergen Cup semi-final defeat by Newcastle Falcons last March, an injury that required an operation during the close season.
He began training again last month and, having been given the all-clear to resume full contact training with immediate effect, he will be considered for a place on the replacements' bench at Penzance.
"It's been a long road back for Alex but he can now train flat out again and he's itching to get back into action," said Phil Maynard, Pertemps Bees' director of rugby.
"We will see how things go this week before we decide whether to include him in the squad at Penzance but we have certainly missed his aggression this season and we might consider giving him a half-hour run just to freshen up the squad a bit."
Scrum-half Paul Knight will have a fitness test on Thursday to decide whether he will be fit to return to action after a two-week absence. Knight damaged anakle ligaments in the Powergen Cup defeat at Leeds Tykes last month and had a cortisone injection to reduce the bruising. If the injection has not settled the injury, Knight faces another month on the sidelines.
But number eight Duncan White is likely to be out of action for at least another month because of an ankle injury. The former Moseley and Gloucester Academy player has four pieces of floating bone in the injury and he will need keyhole surgery to repair the damage.
Centre Shaun Woof, who suffered a neck injury at Sedgley Park last month, is expected to start at Penzance having proved his fitness by playing part of the second half of last Sunday's win against Henley as a replacement.
