Fans Favourite Signs Contract

After surprising reports earlier on in the season that prolific try scorer Nick Baxter was planning on hanging up his boots at the end of the season, the Bees back has signed to stay at the club for next season.

Bacco was considering leaving the Bees and senior rugby to go back to his roots and return to his former club Kings Norton at the end of the season but fans will be pleased to know that Nick Baxter is the first of the players sign a contract to stay with the club.

After recently joining the Bees Bacco became the first player of only two to reach the 100 try landmark and hopes to score eleven more tries to reach is target of becoming the first player in English rugby to reach 150 league tries before retiring.

This season Baxter has so far scored 60 points in league games making his total for the bees of 260 points, 52 trys during his four seasons at the club. He has also represented the Barbarians several times this season, the most recent against East Midlands where he scored a try in each half

Other contract news, Jim Thope is to leave the club at the end of the season. The 29 year old prop who came to the club from Sale suffered from a dislocated shoulder last month in the game against Coventry
