Catalans Dragons ended the Warrington Wolves unbeaten start to the First Utility Super League with a convincing victory in the south of France. Two tries created by Scott Dureau set the Dragons up for there first victory over the Wolves in 7 league attempts.

With Warrington missing their regular half-backs Stefan Ratchford and Richie Myler, it was always going to be tough for the Wolves as they looked to bounce back from their World Club Series defeat to St George Illawarra Dragons last weekend.

Catalans started well and were ahead inside 10 minutes when Willie Tonga went over for his first try of the season after good work by Zeb Taia. Dureau added his first goal of the afternoon.

The Catalans half-back combination took control of the game with both Taia and Ben Pomeroy both going close before Morgan Escare produced a superb one-on-one tackle to prevent Chris Hill from scoring.

On 26 minutes, Dureau fed Elliott Whitehead and Pomeroy who sent in Vincent Duport in the right corner.

Three minutes later, Catalans were in again. Warrington knocked the ball on before Taia collected and fed Tonga who drew the cover defence before sending Duport in for his second try. Dureau added the goal to take the score to 18-0.

After the interval Warrington rallied, and Joel Monaghan scored, owing much to the good work and run by Ryan Atkins directly from a scrum after a Dureau intercept opportunity was knocked on, Gareth O'Brien added the conversion.

Warrington were on top,and Gary Wheeler went over, as O'Brien added his second goal to narrow the score to 18-12.

Three minutes later Mickey Higham was penalised for a high tackle in front of his own posts and Dureau added the penalty to give the Catalans an eight-point lead.

On the hour, Catalans turned defence into attack when Matty Russell knocked on and Morgan Escare collected the ball. Warrington scrambled back and although denied Escare could not stop Taia charging over on the next tackle. Dureau added the conversion to take the score to 26-12.

From the restart Carney ran on an arc down the left and broke clear, drew the full-back, passed inside to Taia who scored his second in three minutes. Dureau kicked the goal to increase his team's advantage.

After 67 minutes the visitors reduced the score when O'Brien and Wheeler combined to send in Joe Philbin, with O'Brien's kick making it 32-18.

With six minutes remaining Dureau kicked to the corner and Michael Oldfield out-jumped Russell to collect the ball and touch down. Dureau added the touchline conversion to add a nice gloss to the scoreline for the home team.
