Exeter Chiefs first foray into Europe commences on October 9th or is it 7th?
Chiefs start their First European Campaign at....

Well that's the way the draw has come out and in some ways it's the ideal place to start against French opposition in the shape of Montpellier on October 9th, although the Montpellier site has it as a Thursday evening fixture being televised by Sky on October 7th?
This is followed with a trip to Bourgoin the following week.
The Chiefs then have Newcastle Falcons at Sandy Park on December 11th before making the trek to Newcastle a week later for the away leg.
The last two pool matches see Bourgoin at Sandy Park on the weekend of 13th to 16th January and the Chiefs travelling to Montpellier the following weekend. This could be a pretty cold experience as far as the weather goes:-

30's to 40's sounds great until you realise those are temperatures in Farenheit! But from what we've been told the welcome (off pitch) is likely to be very warm for those who make the journey. Now we just need the club to sort out a decent charter deal so we can get a few supporters there.

Montpelier site does have the fixture on OCTOBER 9th.

They have now changed the date but they still show it as being broadcast by Sky Sports

Moorsman, i'll do you that Montpellier guide a few weeks before you travel. Oddly enough i'll be in Montpellier on the Thursday night and the following week but we (Saints) are up in Castre that weekend so i'll be heading inland Friday morn, however might see some early travellers on Thurs night for a beer or two.
