Two much more evenly balanced sides in terms of experience. Having no knowledge of over half the Glaws side it's a difficult prediction/wild guess! I'm going for Glaws 22 Chiefs 25 but would not be surprised with any score, although I think it will be close.

Heartened by last weeks display when we both "predicted" a heavy loss we are both going for a narrow win.

In fairness, Glaws sound as if they're playing well but we've got some good players up there. The problem has to be attitude. Its turning into a worry now.

Listening to the radio, sounds like we are doing our usual forwards trying to batter their way over from 5m out, as usual, it isn’t working and we end up getting turned over !!!!

Given the team we put out and last week's encouraging result I'm at a loss to understand what is happening at Exeter Rugby.

Personally, I think you have to ask what have the coaches said and done !! Last week they played heads up rugby, this week it sounded like a more recent 1st team performance !! Was last week a fluke, I don’t think so, did the coaches revert to the normal script, maybe ??

There has to be changes in the coaching set up, we need to bring in a fresh set of ideas.

There must be something amiss - what I do not know but it is beginning to look like the current set of coaches do not know either.

Broken arrow. I had to go when 29/0 down and the radio Devon commentators were a bit bemused by how poor we were especially after the performance last week against a much stronger pack. Sadly we will not make the later stages of the cup this year which the Chiefs like to use to give game time to players not in the 23 prem and see our next breakthrough players.

I listened to it on bbc radio Gloucester, which was obviously very pro Gloucester !!

The apparent general lack of form pervading the whole club is a mystery. Rob’s Exe has always been a side built on perspiration rather than inspiration in my view, and nothing wrong in that, but it does mean really hard physical work is required all the time from everybody.
There is a lack of a cutting edge this year, coupled with a lack of searing pace. All our opponents know what is coming from the Chiefs and have seemingly equipped themselves accordingly. The law changes have made their job easier than before. Simply repeating what has gone before with a team also lacking the same physical power as previously, will not work.

We knew about the law changes like every other club, why haven’t we adapted to those changes.

HI CFW The only reason can be that fundamentally the coaches and forwards still think the old tactics will work in the end. I am not convinced they are right.

Maybe only when/if results don't improve meaning the season's targets are out of reach.

Different mind set, their youngsters like ours wanted to prove themselves in front of the home crowd, they knew that after the win last week if they failed they were still through.
Our guys in the back of their mind knew they had to win, different mental issue to last week.
It doesn’t explain the size of the defeat, as for our coaches, we have a lot of them learning the ropes as well after progressing from being a player. So we may have a poor by our standards season, still to early to tell by I do believe all areas will work on a solution, we will prevail.

Not really a result to make much comment. The only entrant to get any points was ExTedd who got 2 points for correctly predicting a loss. Should really be taken to the town square and put in the stocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
