Lots to talk about there.

Daffyd to captain is interesting. Manny first game out on the bench with Frosty.

Becconsall bench. No Jannes?

Time doesn't allow a greater discussion atm sadly!

Exeter Chiefs have slipped to three successive defeats in Gallagher Premiership Rugby and have not lost four in succession in the tournament since 2015.

Exeter’s 20-22 loss to Saracens in Round 7 was their first reversal at Sandy Park in Premiership Rugby since March.

London Irish have won only one of their last five Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches: 47-38 at home to Bath Rugby on 24 September. The Exiles have not won away from home in Premiership Rugby since they visited Newcastle on 22 April.
London Irish achieved a Premiership Rugby season’s double over Exeter last campaign something they had only managed once before in 2010/11. Irish have won on two of their last three visits to Sandy Park.

I am sure there will be a lot of doubters here commenting given the line up but I’m looking forward to seeing how our young and inexperienced side perform. They will be massive underdogs of course who wouldn’t be with 23 squad players unavailable but the game time will be a massive learning experience for lots.
We all know that LI are never really impacted by the Int periods and pick up a lot of their points at this time and as such they come fully loaded which should make it a real test for our young side.
Good to see young Jenkins given the captaincy he must go down as the youngest captain in the club history I would imagine, he looks a leader and let’s all support him tomorrow as it will be a fantastic honour for him.
I’m not too bothered about the scoreline it’s how we play, however everyone should remember in our early premiership years nobody gave us a chance outside of ‘us’ supporters in games so you never know. COYC

That's not really true.

Either way hoping for a good game and it's one both clubs could really do with winning.

I really like Daf as choice of captain.
In a recent Wales u20 match he was putting himself about and trying to get under the skin of the SA side,he even pretty much joined in one of their huddles and was drinking from their water bottle!
Might not be everyones cup of tea but exactly the sort of mind games I want to see from a leader. Someone in your face who stands their ground and won't be pushed around.
Someone with an "edge" is something we have missed imo.

Yes they're only missing 8 players on international duty, versus our 9!

Im really pleased that some of the younger players are getting start time. Its a massive confidence builder for them and they very much have something to prove.

Anything that shakes up the established order is good imo and some of these players will be highly motivated.

Choosing Daffyd as captain is also a great call I think. Hes got some edge and isnt going to be bullied by anyone, especially with this endorsement.

The result is a really difficult one to call. I expect lots of mistakes on both sides especially in defence and by extension quite a few tries.

Ine thing is certain. It wont be dulll!

I am leery about our chances of winning this match but hugely excited by the lineup. The LI back 3 have pace to burn so it will be a real test for Josh, Dan and Woody. We have a powerful bench to call upon, and I too think the choice of DJ as skipper may turn out to be inspired. Certainly he doesn’t lack “front” and I like the idea of an “edgy” leader provided he can control the aggression. We have been too nice for too long.

LI can play some nice attacking rugby and have dangerous backs but they also have one of the leagues leakier defences. On that basis I'm hoping Chiefs can turn their fortunes around this week - Chiefs 31 Irish 27

Good to get the young guns playing, as Rob said on YouTube, these should be exciting times of the rebuild and these guys will be getting the baton of first choice in the future.
LI are a great team not getting the luck, they were robbed at Quins and will be a stern test.

Just want a good performance which will see us through.

Can’t wait to be in ETC for this one as I can’t get to SP as much this season as previous. Can’t decide whether the ‘young guns with plenty to prove’ will win out here? I think our bench strength is in the forwards but I’m not sure that’s where the last quarter battle will really be…… so going pessimistic with a hope I’m wrong…. Chiefs 28, Irish 34…. Either way reckon it’ll be an exciting game!

not all confident with so many players 'missing' but those playing will be very motivated and perhaps LI will be overconfident. A win would be great and another loss would drain confidence even more. My head says a LI win but going with my heart Chiefs 38 LI 32 . I hope they are showing the England match - I phoned up and there was some doubt.

With England v Japan starting at 3.15, it's entirely possible that it might still be in play when our game is due to start. It's a tricky one for the club. I imagine if it was going to be shown, they'd have promoted it in the pre-match publicity; to get people in the bars early spending their money. But awkward if everyone's still in there at kickoff time!

Brewery, p**s up, organise, you get the message. The game is not on BT so why not play it before the International and keep people in the bars spending money rather than holding it at a time when most people will be at home...?

Our organisation is becoming as shambolic as our on field performance.

If we wish to continue to exist as a contender we need to sort out both our on and off field conduct.
