2 strong teams, should be a close game, will be good to see Flats and Johny back at SP. It could well be the game of the season, certainly a must win for us, along with a try bonus point to keep up our challenge for the play offs. Good to finally see Jacques back.
I think Joe Simmonds must be leaving - in 23 but not starting. Whitts starting is never good IMO although I know I am in a minority. They have a good front row and better second row. I am not convinced about our bench props. We will have to take all our opportunities and the game will be very physical. Worried re our set piece. Heart wants us to win but I think Sale may sneak it with Ford pulling the strings. Chiefs 27 Sale 30. Hope I am wrong.
With 6 of our players away on international duty plus our long term injuries probably the best side we could put out. Pathetic scheduling again. Agree discipline will be key Sale play on the edge and will probably give away a lot of pens we need to keep ours to a minimum as we know they will play a forward game plan with lots of kicking from Ford.
Interesting to see how Hill plays he was quite disrespectful to us in his comments on leaving suggesting he was going to improve his game - left as a Lion now not even in England squad. Has the habit of losing his head let’s hope he does this Sunday.
A massive game in our season at full strength I would have expected a comfortable win but think the game will be close, let’s hope we can come out on top. Exeter 31 Sale 27.
Not too confident about this one but hope to be completely wrong.
Chiefs 14 Sale 24
Would much prefer to see Joe at 10, Jack at 9, anyone else at 13 and a change on the wing. Woody started out fantastically, but imo his performances have dropped off recently, he has conceded 21 turnovers and thats a lot of possession to give up.
Think this will all be down to who settles, imho Hill is not the player he was here by what I’ve seen. If we face up we can win this well, but all depends on how we start, we mustn’t gift a last minute pen to throw the win away as we did with Sarries.
Think we will have the beating of them as they will lose a few to the bin. would have liked to have seen cairns involved but some things never change. chiefs 24 sale 19.
