Obviously a very tough game, but if we can run their huge pack around and stay in touch on the scoreboard I think we could nick it, so LaR 21 v 26 Chiefs.🤞

I think it looks a good side and a side that can win. I think Wyatts selection over Hogg is inspired and he will hopefully make a name for himself with this opportunity. Beccondall could be a game changer and game winner but just don’t take him off too soon.

I know we don’t stand a chance in most pundits eyes and they well be proved right but if they tackle until they drop and take more than 50% of their chances we could be in fo a surprise. Should that happen then let’s hope we get another French side in the final and not Leinster on their home ground.

Still see Christ as a second row at this point in his development, maybe backrow later.
Surprised that Dave is not a starter though!

Going to stay optimistic, hopefully we will play at pace and wear down their big forwards and avoid rucks with offloads to restrict turnovers. Also take the points when on offer.

Having watched them v sarries it's all about the rucks! They won the game with their turnovers, get that area right and we stand a chance, get it wrong however and we could get a pasting. It's also down to how the ref polices this area, many hands in the ruck and on the floor went unpunished in the sarries game. Glad to see JV back. Personally would have gone with big Dave over Christ.
To win in France would be a huge achievement, unfortunately I can't see it, would have been more confident in England. Chiefs 17 Lar 26 fingers crossed I'm wrong!!

Bath fan in peace. Your country needs you to win. 2022-2023 has been dire for English rugby. The French have dominated internationally and that needs to be stopped at club level this weekend. You can do it, despite your topsy turvy form this season you still have many excellent players who are used to toughing it out and winning. Forget the low points of this season and be confident. Those travelling have a great trip and safe journey. You can do it. Allez Ex !!! Laro 24 Exeter 31

The ref, penalties and cards will decide this match. We will certainly be revved up but will we be emotionally right. It is a huge game for so many that are leaving - seven of the 23. Which La Rochelle will play - the team v Sarries or the one against Gloucester? Big underdogs, away so I will go with my heart. Chiefs 34 La Rochelle 32. I cannot bear to do anything else but predict a win for the leaving seven!

This team of ours, with a mixture on youth of their first foray into the big away games, and the not so old heads who on their day are fabulous can give us a good chance to hope for the best. The French have been overwhelming favourites before against us and come unstuck. But they have an experienced coaching team that has turned them around, but so have we.
Going to be close either way, being the last English club isn’t to shabby.

Two very strong teams. With so much at stake, every ounce of passion and strength, plus execution and game management will be required by our boys. My head says the French should edge it but my gut says they will buckle under the pressure of expectation as favourites and our boys will triumph in a brutally physical and emotional match.

Proud of how we kept going against the second best team in Europe. We are in transition and we've had a good season. Let's look forward to the next generation and support them. I started supporting this club when we were not the best team in Devon and we are in a far better position now than then.

Bath fan in peace. I don't know who Bathonian80 is or why he dislikes the Chiefs so much but he's an embarrassment. It's not the first time he's posted his rubbish on your site and as a fellow West Country rugby supporter I'm very disappointed his Bathonian moniker is associated with Bath Rugby. I can't speak for all Bath fans but I can say the fans I mix with do not share his views. We respect and admire what Exeter have achieved. Yes, we enjoyed the win the other week, it felt so good after a torrid season to get one over you, we might have even over celebrated in the eyes of Chiefs fans at the game but that shows how you are respected. Well done in getting to the semi final, I had high hopes for you but the power that is French rugby at the moment won over. It will be a new chapter for Exeter next season with your player turnover but you have a good rugby brain seemingly back in charge to take you forward.

Thanks Francis. I think I can speak for all when I say that constructive comments are always welcomed here, no matter where they come from. And in all honesty, I've only given a warm welcome when I've visited Bath, in fact one Bath supporter in the Salamander wanted to claim bragging rights for buying a Chiefs support - me! - a beer! I'm really not sure what motivates those who seem to simply want to upset the forum with their derogatory comments. I guess Freud would have a view! Good luck next season.
