These lads will form the basis of a very good squad I think, but it will take a couple of seasons. They aren’t yet at the level of winning away at Bath, who finally seem to be fulfilling the promise they’ve had for 3 or four years.
They will miss Lawrence. Good to see Greg back. If our scrum performs well and we can stay in it, they have lost a few last kick games this season. Going optimistic Bath 31 Chiefs 33!
Tough ask, best poss Bath side I think, a losing bp will be a hell of an achievement. But not sure you can call Bath consistent so as with any two horse race, there’s always a chance.
Lowerwatha They will miss Lawrence. Good to see Greg back. If our scrum performs well and we can stay in it, they have lost a few last kick games this season. Going optimistic Bath 31 Chiefs 33!
Our set piece may be our salvation, but if they win enough quick clean ball they definitely have the edge imo.
I would have gone to this with a few friends but £70 plus incl fee for a uncovered standing ticket at one end of the pitch is outrageous imo in the current climate but they have sold most of the tickets so most have deeper pockets than I !! Lol
They have a big pack but are not the most mobile so if the forecast for a dry day then if we can move them around and hold our own at the set piece we should at least be able to be competitive, maybe more.
Lawrence missing is a big loss for them so I am hopeful we can spring a surprise.
Gutted for Tom H that he doesn't make the squad after his impact last week.
I am a bit fearful for this one. Their pack especially the back row is good as is their 9,10,11 combo. I think a losing bonus point would be some achievement and a pasting more likely. Best chance is they will be overconfident and we are underdogs. Head over heart Bath 42 Chiefs26
More in hope than expectation, always predicting a Chiefs victory. Frosty hopefully being saved for Toulon, I know his folks are going, they’ll be very disappointed if he’s not selected, as will I.
I really don't want to be negative, but in all honesty I think Bath are too much on their current form ... If it shows against us. I think it'll be a tight, lower scoring game; hopeful for a losing bonus; cheering for a 5 point win!
Bath 23: Chiefs 17
In Rob we trust.
By the way - cream on first. There's nothing to debate.
Bath at home should have way too much experience for us. Their 9,10 combo is probably the best in the league, and their back row looks strong.
On the plus side, they will miss Lawrence and we do have a big powerful bench. If we can keep it tight till they come on we may sneak it, but I doubt it! Good to see Greg and Olly back.
Bath 31 Chiefs 17
Hard one to call this week. Batch can play a really good game, as can we, but will they? They've not been scoring so may tries lately, compared with the start of the season (nor have we, to be fair). I can see this being a fairly close and not very high scoring game which could go either way.
Solely on the fact that they have home advantage I'll say Bath 25 Chiefs 22
