If, and it's a big if, we can have our fair share of possession I think we should run their big pack around as much as possible, keep the ball in play as much as possible and try and frustrated them, and take points when on offer then maybe just maybe.
Toulouse 21 - 24 Chiefs đ¤đ

Toulouse 1/33 Exeter 10/1 Handicap 21 points. Bookies obviously think we should stay at home!!

Toulouse 36 - 17 Exeter but the team could surprise us as they have done this season!

One thing worth mentioning is that there are at least 2 English sides in the S/Fs of the European Cup. Definitely only 1 Irish and 0 or 1 French side. All of this despite the fact that France and Ireland have salary caps around twice what we have in the Prem. Despite all of the problems in the Prem we are obviously doing something right on the pitch.

Play the same game as Quins and move their big men around.

Saints definitely had an easier ride with the Bulls resting 11 of their best players. Makes a mockery of the competition so I for one would be glad to see the back of the SA teams if they don't or are not able to take it seriously.
+1
Itâs making a joke of the competition having them in it

Very true Exe.
I suppose it's worth mentioning too that the two teams that have got through so far play quite a different game to most of the Prem.
They are packed full of quick backs who love playing heads up counter attack rugby.

Quote:Hi Northshark, thank you once again for your insightful contribution. Indeed, some 15% of all your posts have been to denigrate the Chiefs or their supporters - keep up the good work because Iâm sure youâre just aching to push that percentage a bit higherâŚNorthShark
Sadly the only chance Exeter had today was if Toulouse lost half a dozen of their best players to injury throughout the game. And even then.
Baxter hides behind the "young team" excuse over and over (and over) again. Maybe manage your team better so that you're not forced into losing a lot of underpaid players all at once so that you have to then field such an inexperienced side.

Amongst what I thought were quite a few positives amongst the eventual carnage was that injury wise we seem to come thru relatively unscathed? Hope RV passes his return to play protocol this week. Having said that he surely needs a week off anyway

It looks ugly. He could face a long ban for that. It would be an incredibly disappointing way to end his career.
I sincerely hope that im wrong.

Back in 2016 6N Tomas Francis was given an 8 week ban for 'gouging' Dank Hole. Apparently the contact with the 'eye area' was 1/3 of a second.
I haven't seen the video of Sunday's incident so can't comment on that.

Good luck to Quins and Saints in the semi finals.

Just for a (possible) positive spin on this weekends result....we play Quins at Sandy Park the weekend after their semi against Toulouse.......

50 hours from KO time TB so, as you say, by 5pm today - still a few hours to go.

They showed a replay of the said ruck jurying the game and you could see Jacks hand fall near the face of a Toulousain player, and I was expecting the TMO to jump in so they must have seen it at the time.
