Always a risk of a banana skin in prem games but Chiefs should be looking to consolidate top 4 position in the circumstances
Bench has reverted from 6-2 to 5-3 perhaps to get some game time into back up 9 and 10 lest Varney/Skinner need a rest or pick up an injury / international call up for Varney.
Like to see Ruisi show a bit more development as others have done in recent weeks , it is in him !
Be interesting to see our cup teams this year but hoping for a crowd over 10000 break even and as I say a top 4 consolidation with some tough games to come
Glos have put out a fairly strong side considering their injuries, but we should have enough to overcome them hopefully.
Wonder what prompted us to revert to a 5/3 split on the bench? Great to see Haydon-Wood back on the bench, let's hope he gets some meaningful game time.
Edit to add score prediction: Chiefs 36 Glos 27

The next block of fixtures are tough, Sale, Saracens, Leicester, Bath and Bristol, I doubt it’s lost on anyone that a 5 point result will be of benefit going into the that group of fixtures. I also feel we have our tales up, Gloucester are without several front line players, so I’m going for a solid Chiefs win.
I’m less confident of a dominant win, but quite a few of our boys will want to lay to rest the ghost of last year’s drubbing at Kingsholm, so I’m hoping they’ll bring it home. Much of it depends on how the front row goes.
Chiefs 31; Glos 26
I think the move to 5:3 is due to our wealth of backs and the comparative resilience of our forwards. PBB 'saved' in favour of Ollie who really did put in a shift last week.
Chiefs 45: Gloucester 18
In Rob we trust.
By the way - cream on first. There's nothing to debate.
Would like to have seen Vincent and Brown on the bench real match winners plus start with Zambonin to help our line out, other than that a good side. A must win game imo Exe 38 Glaws 24
Must get 5 points out of this game. As others say a tricky run of fixtures in next block. Wish Zambonin was starting. Quite confident after last week so Chiefs 42 Gloucs 22
Gloucester are capable of scoring points, but so far this season they seem pretty incapable of defending! So a high scoring game is likely in my opinion. If we play with the same energy as last week we should have too much for them, on paper we have a much stronger team. As obvious as it is to point out, with confidence not sky high in either team, a fast start would help. If we get early points on the board I could see us running away with it
As Andy says above it's a game we really should be winning, Gloucester have one of the smallest budgets and are struggling with injuries at the moment. I think the players will be itching to get out there after last week and to carry on our improvement. I'm going Chiefs 42 Glous 24
