ZURICH PREMIERSHIP WEEK ONE UPDATE
I have the prices to hand from bet365 (an internet bookmaker) and Surrey
Sports (internet and telephone betting; also available via SkyActive).
Surrey Sports accept doubles and above (except on live TV games); bet365
allow singles all games. Note both bookmakers only offer 5/6 - but this
weekend that is offset by some tempting handicap offers.
Sale - Northampton
For this game only, I also have the odds from Victor Chandler and from Stan
James. Northampton have been given a four point start by Victor Chandler,
10/11 is available, and this is a fair bet. If you feel Northampton will
win anyway (that's most of us, then!) Stan James offer 13/8 outright on a
Northampton win with no points start.
Leeds - PCP
The bookmakers have given Leeds a 13 point start. This is tight in my
opinion. I would now advise not betting on this game (had it been a fifteen
point headstart or more, I would have been interested.) If my hand were
forced, I'd take Leeds with the points.
Harlequins - Gloucester
Gloucester are 6 and 7 point favourites for this game, but I fancy Quins to
get off to a flyer. I'll take the Quins and the points.
Newcastle - Wasps
The bookies can't split them on the handicap. However bet365 go Newcastle
8/11, Wasps evens. The evens on Wasps is very tempting.
London Irish - Bath
Bath have been given a nine point headstart. Not enough in my opinion.
Irish to win on the handicap, and the best bet of the weekend.
Bristol - Saracens
Bet365 have the game as level; Surrey have Sarries receiving a four point
headstart. I'll have Bristol at levels.
Based on the above prices, these are my recommendations.
Single on Saints -4 at 10/11 with Victor Chandler or, if you don't want the
four point cushion, 13/8 with Stan James. Five point win
Single on London Irish -9 at 5/6 with bet365 - ten points
Treble on London Irish -9, Bristol level, Harlequins +7 at bet365 - five
point treble
Treble on London Irish -9, Bristol level, Wasps level (evens) - five point
treble
Twenty-five points total stake.
Good luck with your bets this weekend and.....
COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!!!
