...let's see now, random lottery numbers.... 15, 32, 12, 25.... Can't be any worse than trying to predict the winners of the rugby at the moment, can it?! Why do I do this? It must be love, you know..... Another weekend of mixed fortunes - Wellsaint's Baggy Trousers are certainly not bulging with
the spoils of success this season! Let's see if we can avoid another Embarrassment this week.


Leeds v Harlequins

Quins seem to have lost their way of late (are they Yesterday's Men?), and are getting into the
losing habit at home (we'll let you continue this for another week!!); Leeds seem to be winning
their share at home. Leeds to win by 10 points for me - Come In Number 10 goes for Leeds by 12.

Sale v London Irish

Sale won at Quins last Sat and face an Irish team who took their time to see off Rotherham.
I can never quite work Sale out (let's face it, this season I can't work anything out!)
but in the belief that home advantage should count for something, I take Sale to win by eight.
Come In Number 10 agrees, going for a seven point Sale win.

Bath v Leicester

Two teams with vastly differing fortunes this season; Bath winning six out of seven, losing
the other game by only two points; Leicester seemingly rudderless and out of sorts. I
can't imagine Leicester kick starting their season here and would take Bath to win fairly
convincingly, by twelve to fifteen points, as does Come In Number 10.

Saints v Gloucester

Surely the match of the weekend at Our House, as second plays third here, and an important
game for both sides as they want to keep tabs on Bath at the top. A difficult game to call,
but again, in the belief that home advantage will be a factor, I take Saints to win by four
points - but they will have to cut the errors out -which in the main they succeeded in doing
at Welford Road last Saturday. Come In Number 10 agrees (again?!) and has us down to win by
5, and to make Franklin's a House of Fun come 4.45 tomorrow night.

Rotherham v Saracens

Time for Sarries to pick up five points - I'll say this again - I hope Roth field no
ineligable players otherwise they could well be the first side relegated with minus points.
Saracens will be shellshocked after last week's humiliation at home to Wasps, but what
better way to bounce back? Sarries by fifteen and another Grey Day for Roth. Come In Number
10 has Sarries by 14.

Wasps v Newcastle

Both teams with big wins last weekend - Newcastle ending Bath's unbeaten run and Wasps
giving Sarries a thumping at Watford. Again, home advantage, etc. etc. - Wasps by eight.
Come In Number 10 is in the same area, going for Wasps by... 10!

Leeds - Harlequins: Leeds are between 7 point (Coral) and 10 point (Tote) favourites.
Leeds the call.

Sale - Irish: Sale are between 8 (Coral) and 10 (bet365) point favs. Tight. Swerve.

Bath - Leic: Bath between 10 (Skybet) and 13 (Tote) point favs. Bath for me.

Saints - Glos: Glos receive a 4 start from Sky but 7 start from Corals and the Tote.
Seems a touch steep to me - Gloucester the call (narrow Saints victory and you still get
paid, remember!!)

Roth - Saracens: Saracens between 4 (Coral - is this a misprint?!) and 12 (Chandler) point
favourites. Saracens -4 looks a steal (but Coral only take trebles, remember...)

Postscript: well it did look a steal until Corals changed their price to 4/7.

Wasps - Newcastle: Wasps between 12 (Coral) and 14 (Tote) point favourites - I'd take
Newcastle with the points as the percentage call.

World Cup (Saturday's games)

Scotland v Fiji - Scotland between 8 (Blue Square) and 12 (Tote/Ladbroke) point favs.
Am I the only person who thinks Fiji could win anyway? Fiji the selection.

Australia v Ireland: Ireland receive between 19 (Tote) and 22 (Coral) point start.
Let's hope Ireland give the Aussies a scare (or better still, win!) Ireland with the
points.

SA v Samoa: SA between 16 and 21 point favourites. If forced, Samoa with the points,
but I won't be playing this.

Sunday's game has England as 76 point favs v Uraguay - which they should achieve.
Don't have the handicap line for Wales - NZ, but it's NZ all the way for me.
