This is a picture of some cash. A dim and distant memory this season... Plenty of action this weekend with a full programme of ZP matches, and apparently ITV are showing a game early on Saturday morning as well... Straight on into the action, starting with Friday night's games. Wasps v Gloucester: Gloucester seem to be in a slump and go to Wasps in a game that sees a reply of last year's final. I expect Wasps to win this game - Come In Number 10 saysa by 10-12 points, and I think he's probably on the money. Watch out for that referee - I've heard he's really quite good, and should be given full time status... (chicken and mushroom pie with my chips, and I prefer to wash both down with a pint of AG. Thanks for asking, btw....)

Sale v Saracens: Sale, fresh from an extra time win at Welford Road, take on a Sarries side who were taken all the way by Penzance and Newlyn.
Sale should know too much for Sarries - Come In Number 10 says by 14, with a bonus point - again, he could be pretty much on the money.

Bath v Harlequins: Hands up if you thought this would be a top of the table clash 10 or so weeks ago! (Put your hand down - I don't believe you....) We all know what Bath did last weekend and I've said my piece on the subject - and Quins lost to Leeds after beating Sai.... you get the point. Anyway, this weeks game: home advantage, etc. etc. - CiNo10 says Bath by 14 - I think Bath will win, but CiNo10's margin could be a touch over the mark - and I would say by seven.

Saints v Leeds: A MUST WIN game for Saints - I cannot emphasise that enough. Leeds come to FG on the back of a cup win against Quins. I expect us to win, and both myself and CiNo10 think the victory margin will be in the region of eight points. Remember guys and gals, MAKE SOME NOISE!!

Rotherham v Leicester: Hands up if you thought this would be a relegation clash 10 weeks ago? (All right, you can take your hands down now!)
Rotherham to get hammered - again - 20-25 points plus.

London Irish v Newcastle: CinNo10 fancies Irish to nick this by three; I too fancy Irish but feel a six to eight point win should be within their compass.

Well, that's this weekend's matches.....

hold on... someone's trying to grab my attention...

Apparently I've missed a game out that's being played tomorrow.

THE RUGBY WORLD CUP FINAL - ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA

England are 4 point favourites to lift the Webb Ellis Trophy. Undernormal circumstances, I would advocate taking a bet giving up only 4 points. However, these are most definitely NOT normal circumstances.

So many questions - chief one for me is what happens if Jonny has to come off the field? I think we will win, but I think it could be
by the odd point rather than more.

Some possible bets therefore from my perspective would be England to win by 1-5 points; Wilkinson to score between 6-10 or between 11-15 points - I don't expect a high scoring game; and a sporting punt on the first score being an England drop goal. A punt on the game having no tries also has some merit as a value bet.

Come In Number 10 fancies England will score a try and will just beat the handicap line and win by five. He's more optimistic than I!!

Let's hope that this weekend is one we remember for the rest of our lives.

COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!! and COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

PS Anyone offering spread bets (perhaps "spread" is the wrong word) on how many pints of AG I sink tomorrow?....
