As these pictures show, work continues apace on the extension of the South Stand. Once completed, the stadium capacity will reach 13700 and the new facility will also sport new corporate boxes,a bar and extra toilet facilities.
Due to the building work Saints are unable to play any home matches pre-season and the annual Open-Day has been postponed for the same reason. The new seating is expected to be available by October whilst the boxes should be fully operational just one month later. In other news, Saints have this week confirmed the signing of 23 year old centre Seamus Mallon from Ulster and rumours still abound about the possible signing of South African tight-head prop Pat Barnard from Western Province. Whilst Barnard's agent has apparently confirmed the news in the South African press, Saints are still keeping their cards close to their chest. .
