Raiders beat Bears - A great victory and performance!

The West Wales Raiders put in a superb 80 minutes to register a comprehensive win against Coventry Bears who were blown away by the best performance from the Welsh outfit in years! The final score was 44-16 and it was very close to being 50! The scenes at the end highlighted how much this meant to players, officials  and supporters. The players oozed confidence, tackled hard, offloaded superbly and passed crisply and accurately. Coventry were never in the game and the score probably flattered them! This result is a great one for all connected with the Raiders, and a huge boost for coach Kim Williams.

West Wales Raiders didn't concede early points, in fact they did not concede at all in the first half. The early presssure was withstood and the half time score was a superb 20-0. The team left the field to a standing ovation but that was nothing compared to the scenes at the end! Well done to all.

Onwards and Upwards!!

Now I have finally logged on ...

Despite my seeing a much more cohesive performance at Keighley, last week,I could NOT see a victory,so very well done to Jarrad, who saw the training and predicted a win.

Well done to the club Lucky Mascot,Roger, who must have wondered what the complaints were all about that he was monitoring,as he turns up and sees a commanding, disciplined performance from 1-17 over 80 minutes.

Huge congratulations to Kim Williams who appears to be the consummate professionalism who has coached, and managed, numerous playing standards, egos, professionalism, attitudes etc and finally got his rewards.

Already he is in position to state that he has rendered the club in a far better position than it was when he found it.

The best judgement is to see how the greater rugby league family perceive the club after yesterday.

Here are some views - Congratulations

West Wales Raiders Win

The image of the 2 young, loyal, committed, professional, reliable players,Rowland Kaye and Archie Snook embracing at the conclusion of the game is a beaut.

That made me smile! Plus in attendance were two directors from All Golds - one of whom was at Stebonheath the last time we won.

I can only find positives to say about the whole afternoon!
