Warriors Vs Tigers Sat 21st Sept 2019

The coaching had made the decision that these 4 Premiership Cup games would be used as the team's pre-season warm up games, due to the length of this season going well into June 2020.

The team selected reflected this decision. It was the same selection plan for Tigers, however they historically choose a younger side for their first outing adding in the more senior players as the pre-season games roll on. This did cause an imbalance in the experience of the teams.

However the Warriors' team was heavily laden with 2nd and 3rd choice players with a sprinkling of 1st choice and academy players as can be seen in the table below. It also containe several new players to the team and player returning after long term injuries.

It was a very good result for The Warriors with a 57:23 victory, players demonstrating just how good pre-season had been with their speed and accuracy of game plan execution.

Next week will see a differen set of players taking on Quins at The Stoop.
