England 21 v 8 Argentina - Nov 17 - Aftermath

England opened up their Autumn Internationals against Argentina and we all expected a cracking game.  What we got from both teams was not worth the ticket money!

Well Eddie Jones called the match a 'Grindathon' but I would say more of a borethon.   It felt like the bad old days, a very slow start and just no real direction.  It might have been better if we had fielded the team that went on the summer tour.

Again, I am stating the obvious here but unless England improve their game dramatically, Australia will have a field day next Saturday.

Friends who are huge Rugby League fans attended this match on Saturday and I felt I had to apologise for the woeful match but hoped they enjoyed the atmosphere of Twickenham.  No wonder Eddie lost his temper.

As an England fan I despair sometimes, we just did not really show up.

Trying to be fair about this under Eddie Jones we now expect England to win all the time, and yes they won on the day but in the manner we won, well it felt like a loss.   Trouble is now we expect so much more and why not for the money the fans pay Min £80.00 a shot.

Let's hope we see better next Saturday.
