England's Jason Robinson pledges -we won't let the fans down. Speaking from yesterday's O2 Scrum in the Park public send off, England World Cup winners Jason Robinson and Ben Kay assured the 15,000 fans who turned up to wish the team good luck that they are determined to make the English public proud.

Said Robinson, who is one of a handful of players that have been there and done it, "There is no big secret to winning a World Cup. It's just a lot of hard work and having your whole squad working together and being selfless.

"England are going in as underdogs this time but there's a lot to come from this side. We realise we've under performed, but hopefully we can tap into the huge potential we have and make everyone proud."

Fellow 2003 winner, Ben Kay, confirmed that the players can't wait for their chance to come. "Our preparations may not match 2003, but there are no prizes for winning warm up games. It's all about how you play in the tournament itself. This is a very talented group of players, I think the pack is as good as any I've played with.

"Now it's about making sure we gel and get a good performance out. This is our chance to show the world what we're capable of and it would be wonderful to change a few opinions and show we're still a huge force in world rugby."

The England squad arrive in France today to prepare for their defence of the Webb Ellis trophy and the Gillette podcast will give fans access to exclusive behind the scenes interviews to help them keep up to date with the latest news from inside the England team camp.  As s well as daily interviews with players and coaches, the podcast will also give supporters the low down on the rest of the news hitting the headlines throughout the 2007 tournament.

Compared to last ~RWC, there does not seem to be the same expectation or excitement.

Mind you with what has gone before in the last 4 years (waste of time and space to be honest) I don't know what I am really expecting

However, I am sure the lads will do their best and I for one will be supporting them.
