Re: England 7s Hong Kong 2008 Gollings on the points!
England quotes from the Cathay Pacific/Credit Suisse Hong Kong Sevens

Ben Gollings (Sunnybank)

“We came here not really knowing what expectations were but the boys have stepped up to the plate and have done more than we can ask. This is Sevens it’s always on the bounce of a ball and you end up on the losing side.

“The young lads have learned a lot here and hopefully we can go onto Adelaide next week and build on what we have done. The boys have to take a lot from this tournament, we didn’t disgrace ourselves here so we should take some confidence from our performances.”

Noah Cato (Saracens)

“It was a hard game, it mirrored yesterday where it came down to the wire again, it’s tough to take but you have to deal with it and move on. It’s been a reality check for me this tournament, it’s amazing, we have just done our lap of honour and the support here is great, these are memories I will take away with me.”

John Brake (Northampton)

“I think in the second half it was there for the taking, unfortunately we made a couple of mistakes, we lost possession and if you don’t get ball you don’t win games.”

Anthony Elliott (Bristol Rugby)

“Massively disappointed today, we beat them yesterday and unusually played them again today. We did everything we could, we made a couple of bad decisions but that’s the game, anything can happen and unfortunately it went against us.”
