Saturday 11th October 2008
Northumbria University Bullocksteads Sports Ground & Newcastle Falcons' Kingston Park Stadium
A rare chance to play at a Premiership Stadium
Following the successful 2007 event, university and college teams nation-wide will again be competing for a chance to play in the finals in front of up to 10,000 rugby fans at Newcastle Falcons' world famous Kingston Park stadium.
- The heat stages, which will include men's, women's and alumni (post graduate) cup competitions, will take place during the day on Saturday 11th October 2008 at Northumbria University's Bullocksteads Sports Ground.
- The finals will be played in the evening of Saturday 11th October 2008 at Newcastle Falcons' Kingston Park stadium.

- The two finalists of the men's competition will play at the half time interval of the Falcons' European Challenge Cup fixture against Spanish side El Salvador and the final of the women's competition will take place on the same pitch just after the final whistle of the Newcastle Falcons/ El Salvador game.
A lively festival atmosphere will be created with live music, refreshment zones, sponsors areas and competitions at Bullocksteads and supporters are encouraged to wear Spanish clothing to add a colourful Mediterranean touch to both the heat stages and the finals.

A message from: Paul Burton, Joint MD of sponsors InterContinental Brands (St Helier Pear Cider) "As passionate sport enthusiasts who already advertise at international football events, sponsor World Championship snooker players and The Championship on ITV, we recognise how important sport is in terms of people's every day quality of life. We are delighted therefore to show our support of student rugby and look forward to a very successful tournament."
