RFU Elite Referees Wayne Barnes, Andrew Small and Dave Pearson have each been awarded test matches in the November international test window by the IRB.

RFU TOP REFEREES AWARDED NOVEMBER 2010 INTERNATIONALS

RFU Elite Referees Wayne Barnes, Andrew Small and Dave Pearson have each been awarded test matches in the November international test window by the IRB.



Barnes will take charge of the Wales v Australia test on November 6. Dave Pearson will be the referee for the Scotland v New Zealand and Italy v Fiji test matches on November 13 and November 27 respectively with Andrew Small leading the officials for the France v Fiji fixture (November 13).



Wayne Barnes and Robin Goodliffe will support Dave Pearson at the Scotland v New Zealand match as Assistant Referee’s 1 and 2 and Barnes will be the AR1 for the France v Australia test match on November 27. Rob Debney will be AR 1 for Wales v Fiji at the Millennium Stadium on November 19. Stuart Terheege has been appointed AR2 for the Wales v South Africa match on November 13 and for the Ireland v Argentina match on November 28.



Graham Hughes will be the Television Match Official for three November tests and Geoff Warren for two.



Head of Elite Referee Development Ed Morrison said today “Wayne, Dave and Andrew all thoroughly deserve their appointments and I’m delighted that Robin Goodliffe and Rob Debney continue to make progress at international level.



“JP Doyle and Greg Garner will continue their development during November with JP Doyle in charge of the Portugal v USA fixture in Lisbon and the French Barbarians v Tonga and Greg running the Portugal v Namibia test. These games will give each of them invaluable experience as they aim to go the next level in the test match arena.”



Elite Rugby Director Rob Andrew said “Ed and his development team of Brian Campsall and Tony Spreadbury continue to make positive progress with all the officials under their remit and these appointments once again endorse that fact.”
