Without so much as an internet connection, the app allows the user to access fixtures for the remainder of the season, opposition contacts and results to date.

Players will be able to make sure the brilliant try they scored in October doesn't get lost in the mists of time or the fog of beer come the end-of-season awards evening. iTeam users can easily browse fixtures from earlier in the season - or even the previous season - to remind themselves of results and find out who was on the scoresheet.

The app is likely to also prove popular with mini and juniors sides and will be particularly useful for coaches and parents hoping to keep track with scores and scorers at tournaments where the matches come thick and fast.

The iTeam app makes is easy to see which players have been among the tries, but allows you to recognise good performances that didn’t make the headlines with a star rating system.

With the details of players, fixtures and the opposition entered, the app allows users to can record the number of tries, conversions, penalties and drop goals scored by each player in every match.

The app uses a clean design and friendly interface, which is almost identical to the iPhone layout for Contacts, iPod and Email.
