Video:Fred Burns determined to grab his England Tour chance

FREDDIE Burns is determined to make up for lost time when he tours Argentina as England's solitary specialist fly-half this summer.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The Gloucester Rugby playmaker is the only regular number 10 picked by Stuart Lancaster for the Red Rose's two-Test tour against the Pumas. Burns made his England debut in the thrilling 38-21 victory over world champions New Zealand at Twickenham last November, and was named in Lancaster's Six Nations squad, only to suffer a knee injury prior to the opening game against Scotland.  
 
  But after impressing for his club all season, and finishing as the Aviva Premiership's top kicker with 240 points, to earn him the Gilbert Golden Boot award, Burns has earned another international call-up.
 
And the 23-year-old is determined to make his mark in the absence of British and Irish Lions star Owen Farrell, and the rested Toby Flood. "I had a little bit of game time and involvement with England in the autumn and unfortunately got injured during the Six Nations," he said.
 
"To have got back fit and found some form to be included in the Argentina tour is a great achievement for me and something I am really looking forward to.
 
"There is so much competition to even get in the team, so now I have been given that opportunity to be in the squad I have got to get my head down and train well, and really put my best foot forward for a starting place in Argentina.
 
"I have toured Argentina twice before with the Under-18s and Under-20s and I know how hostile it is, and how much rugby means to the Argentinian people, so it is going to be a tough tour but I am really looking forward to getting out there and sampling international rugby."
