England Rugby June 2013 - In Review

 

Over 400 rugby clubs across the country will be united in DIY efforts  as they take part in NatWest RugbyForce and improve their facilities with the support of members and volunteers from the local community. Rugby Union Club 400 clubs set to transform their facilities

Lancashire fly-half and Bill Beaumont Cup winner, Chris Johnson will captain the England Counties against Belgium A at Kituro Rugby Club, Brussels England Counties name side to play Belgium A

 

 

 


WOMENS:

A young, developing England Women’s Sevens outfit were crowned European Plate champions in Marbella and in turn finished fifth in the European Series this season. England Women Sevens win Plate Final in Euros

England Women 7s Squad for RWC Moscow   and England Women’s dreams of lifting a first ever Rugby World Cup Sevens title went up in smoke at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow  when they were knocked out of the Cup quarter-finals by World Series champions New Zealand. RWC 7s heartache for England’s Women

 

MENS:  

England Sevens Head Coach Ben Ryan named his 12-man squad to compete in the Rugby World Cup Sevens  in Moscow.   Rob Vickerman has been named as captain of an exciting looking squad, 11 of who were involved in England’s encouraging third place finishes in the last two rounds of the HSBC World Series in Glasgow and London.
