NEWS:  Former England prop and 2003 Rugby World Cup-winner Phil Vickery has been rewarded for his immense contribution to the sport by being elected onto the RFU Council  Phil Vickery joins RFU Council




Rugby World Cup:  Young volunteers take centre stage  The RFU today unveiled plans to develop more young volunteers in rugby clubs across the country through its “Young Rugby Ambassadors” programme.  Rugby clubs the length and breadth of England are being asked to nominate sixteen to twenty year olds to become Young Rugby Ambassadors (YRAs), whose role will be to excite and inspire other  young people in the build-up to the Rugby World Cup 2015 (RWC 2015) and beyond.

England Saxons: Will face the O2 Ireland Wolfhounds at Kingsholm in Gloucester on Saturday, January 25 next year. The match will be broadcast live on SkySports (5pm) as the Saxons renew their rivalry with the side they beat 14-10 in Galway last season.
