Professional players and coaches in England will take part in a compulsory concussion education programme before the start of next season. Aviva Premiership, Greene King IPA more here...Concussion Education to be compulsory in professional game

 

The RFU has launched a ground-breaking project in partnership with the International Rugby Board (IRB), FIRA-AER and UK Sport that will involve them working with seventeen European nations to grow the game of rugby ahead of Rugby World Cup 2015.  More here....  European Nations - Unity Project launched

With this the first season that the England U16s come under the RFU’s Professional Rugby Department, 100 young players with potential and talent have been selected, 25 from each of the four divisions: North, Midlands, London & South East and South West more here  England Rugby: More young players given U16s opportunity

TWICKENHAM STATION: A range of improvements at Twickenham station will be delivered in time for the Rugby World Cup tournament in 2015.

The Network Rail and South West Trains Alliance will deliver £5.2m improvements including:

  • Step-free access between the ticket office and platforms
  • New accessible toilets and improvements to the existing toilets
  • Resurfaced platforms
  • New lighting
  • A new footbridge to replace the existing concrete structure.

In addition, Platform 2 will have a greater area set aside to help cope with the growing number of passengers who use the station during stadium events.
