ENGLAND beat South Africa 19-5, Wales 21-7 and Portugal 36-7 to book a quarter final place at the Wellington Sevens in New Zealand.   The clean sweep added up to the best first-day tournament performance of the season in the HSBC Sevens World Series.   Simon Amor’s side now take on Samoa in the knock-out stages with the winners going forward to meet New Zealand or Canada in the semis.

England Rugby 2015 confirms an approved list of Team Bases for 2015 
  • Detailed visits made to facilities across the country following strong response to Rugby World Cup 2015 Team Base
  • tender
  • 65 bases meet criteria and are named on an approved list
  • Bases on the approved list are not confirmed for use in 2015 but go through to the next phase of selection
  • Up to 50 bases will bases selected by teams in the year and a full list to be published once finalised
 

 Following the strong response to the Rugby World Cup 2015 Team Base tender process, with over 80 applications received from over 30 English counties and within Wales, England Rugby 2015 has moved into the next phase of the Team Base selection programme by confirming an 'approved list' of bases.

Journey to RWC 2015 Continues: -  In the year that over two million tickets go on sale for RWC 2015, the second stage of ticketing is now underway. Official hospitality packages are now on sale and will offer a wide range of unforgettable match-day experiences at RWC 2015. In May, tickets will go on sale to rugby fans through rugby clubs, before the General Sale launch in September. Any remaining tickets left over will then be offered on a first-come first-served basis from November.
