An RFU Disciplinary Panel has imposed a six month suspension on Phil Blake after he was found guilty of two breaches (eight separate bets) of RFU Regulation 17 (Anti-Corruption and Betting) while he was employed by Leicester Tigers RFC as a defence coach for the 14/15 Aviva Premiership season.

The first charge related to betting on a European Champions Cup match between Toulon and Leicester Tigers on 13 December 2014 and the second for betting on an Aviva Premiership match between Newcastle Falcons and Leicester Tigers on 8 March 2015.

ENGLAND Counties secured an impressive 28-20 victory over Romania A to complete a highly successful summer tour. Match Report

ENGLAND Counties U20s opened their summer tour with a stunning 90-24 victory against an experienced Hungarian Barbarians line-up packed with internationals.    The Counties U20s are in Hungary for a two-match tour as part of the RFU’s Unity Project which aims to support the development of Rugby Union across Europe.

England Women secured a third place finish in round one of the Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix in Kazan, Russia, defeating Spain 12-7 in the play-off match.

England Women had to settle for fourth place at the Rugby Europe Grand Prix in Brive, France, which also handed them a fourth place finish overall in the series.


England Women’s Head Coach Simon Middleton has called up England Under 20s player Rachel Lund to compete in the Rugby Super Series in Canada 


England Women couldn’t make it two wins out of two in Canada on Wednesday with a 26-7 defeat to New Zealand at Red Deer Titans Park in Alberta.

The RFU will host the third leg of Rugby Europe's 2015 Grand PRIX 7s series at Sandy Park, Exeter over the weekend 11th-12th July. Wales will host the opening games of the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s Series at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park 



 Prince Harry & Jonny Wilkinson gave the Webb Ellis Cup a fitting send-off this morning as the RWC Trophy Tour set off from Twickenham Stadium on its 100-day tour of the UK and Ireland. With over 300 Trophy Tour events, there will be plenty of opportunities to get a close-up of the iconic Trophy.

Jonny Wilkinson has been made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List  - while volunteers John Emery, from Gloucestershire; Michael Gee, from Cornwall; and Greg Hawkins, from Greater Manchester all get British Empire Medals (BEM).
