The Six Nations Council are delighted to announce that they have accepted a joint bid from BBC and ITV to broadcast the RBS 6 Nations Championship for a duration of six years from 2016.

The BBC & RFU  announced a new Autumn QBE International highlights agreement which assures coverage of all England’s autumn matches on BBC TV until the end of the 2019/20 season. 

The new agreement also includes highlights of England’s summer QBE Internationals this August and September on BBC Two.  All coverage will be available on the BBC iPlayer and the BBC retains the live radio rights to these matches for the same term.

The Festival of Rugby 2015, developed in partnership with England Rugby 2015 and Rugby Football Union, is celebrating its 500th registered event.

Canterbury and England Rugby put the unveiling of the innovative England shirt in the hands of their most committed supporters, with more than 3,600 fans publishing the exclusive first image of the new shirt across their Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr feeds England RWC 2015 Shirt Unveiled

England elite flew out to Denver  with a 45-man squad to continue their Rugby World Cup preparations.   After three weeks’ training at Pennyhill Park, the squad spent two weeks in Rugby Town USA, Glendale, Colorado.

To help fans prepare for Rugby World Cup 2015, England Rugby 2015, the Tournament Organising Committee, has developed a Spectator Journey Planner which allows fans to find the best way to get to match venues and Fanzones.

As Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets start to be despatched, ticket holders are being encouraged to start planning their travel now via the Spectator Journey Planner. The user-friendly journey planner informs fans of additional travel options in place to assist them on their journeys during the Tournament. Available at, it also provides links to the transport providers so that fans can book tickets directly.

Great Britain Rugby Sevens have announced the coaching structure for the men’s and women’s programmes ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympics Games.   Simon Amor will take the position of head coach for the men’s setup with Gareth Williams joining him as assistant coach.
