England v Wales RWC 2015 - Pre match thoughts

September 25 2015

England face Wales on Saturday at Twickenham in their second & vital match, this match is huge for both sides & could define the success in the tournament for both teams.

Rugby World Cup 2015

Pool A

England v Wales

Twickenham 26th September - Kick Off 2000 hrs BST - Live on ITV

England could not have had a more difficult Pool if they had tried!  Like most England fans, I am already very nervous of this game especially after a slippery performance against Fiji.  England will need to up their game and produce a much better performance all round.

This will be the 127th meeting between the sides, so I reckon they will know each other pretty well.  England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster has gone with Farrell, Burgess and Billy Vunipola to start.  I hope Burgess proves all his doubters wrong, he is a great player and can change games.

Both teams have played one match and scored 4 tries getting the bonus point giving them each 5 points but Wales have more points scored difference, so they top the table at the moment.

It is reported that Wales have injuries but we shall see, sometimes I think Wales Coach Gatland goes out of his way to play all sorts of mind games before these crunch matches.  And this is his latest quote:-

"Wales will set out to "smash" rookie centre Sam Burgess - just like the rest of his England team, says coach Warren Gatland".

Hmmm we shall see!

Last time out in the Six Nations, England  won at the Millennium Stadium to record a 16-21 victory. Anthony Watson and Jonathan Joseph scored in that famous away victory, but Joseph is out this time due to injury.

All the same my stomach is churning with the worry of this match, I know I should be saying the best team will win on the day but like all fans I want it to be my team England.  So we will just have to wait and see and keep taking the tablets oooooohhhhh! on horse
