FANTASY Rugby is back for another year. (We can’t let Cheffy be the reigning champion for long!!)
To enter a team choose a squad of 8 players (one from each group below) and send via email to

Full rules will be emailed to managers on receipt of team names.
Teams must be worth a total of 725 of less and must not contain the same player more than once. (Testers please note the values have been amended again!!) Players marked in yellow score different points in different positions for tries, but be careful because there are other players who can play in more than one position.
Points are awarded according to the following scale (Note I have introduced -1 for missed kicks and increased the value for kicks when compared to last year.)
Points Scale
Managers will be entitled to free substitutions up to the day before the team for the double header is announced. From this point on substitutions will count against the 25 limit for managers. It is each manager’s responsibility to keep a record of their team and ensure that it meets the requirements of the rules at all times.
Results for each week of the season will be published on the Craic

He kicked all the points last year which is why he ends up overvalued on the formual I use. But then if he kicks this year.

Having looked at the first 2 weeks of the seasons results, i think offering 3 points a penalty and 2 a conversion is going to make kickers too important to the game so as of next weekend I am going revert to the following scoring system
Conversion = 1 point
Penalty/ Drop goal = 2 points
Missed Penaalty = -1 point
Appologies for this but think it's needed if the game isn't going to become "Guess the kicker" and think it's best to make the changee before to many people make subs.
