Up and Under with Coventry RFC's Luke Myring.

REMEMBER, remember the 5th of November, gunpowder, treason and a loss!

All of us players and I am sure supporters of Coventry RFC will choose not to remember this 5th of November and put it behind us as quickly as possible.

There were lots of fireworks over the weekend but not many of them set off by us up in Fylde as we got burned 45-14.

It’s hard for me to write the column this week as I wasn’t present at the game and so I won’t comment at length as it wouldn’t be a fair reflection on the team or the game. Although, what was made even clearer was that in this league if you switch off for just five minutes you will be punished by the opposition.

This was the case after half time on Saturday with Fylde scoring two tries in quick succession and putting the game to bed in the process. There will be no knee-jerk reactions to this and I am positive we will learn from it, put it behind us and regroup.

Great article, with some clever writing! Its nice to see the players wanting to do well and that the support does not go unnoticed. (Sm125)
